About Children’s Home Society & Family Services
Our Services
Recognizing the fundamental human rights of children, Children’s Home Society & Family Services works to give every child security, opportunity, permanency and a loving family. With 120 years of experience serving families in Minnesota, throughout the United States and in more than a dozen other countries, we know that a child in a safe, nurturing home is a child who thrives. Through a wide range of services, we help families stay strong and care for their children.
Early Childhood Care & Education
At our Early Learning Centers, children from low-income families receive the quality early childhood education they need to be successful in school and break the cycle of poverty.
Child & Family Support Services
When a parent calls us for help before lashing out in anger, a child is one step closer to a safe, stable home. Whether a child is struggling with a learning disability or threatened by family violence, we work each day to help families overcome the challenges they are facing.
Counseling & Therapy
For children and families coping with emotional, mental health and relationship issues, we provide a broad range of counseling and therapy services. Helping to build essential life skills and foster self-sufficiency, we empower families to succeed.
Adoption
Last year, we helped 718 children join “forever” families through adoption. More than 200 of these children were considered "hard to place" because they have special medical or developmental needs, are older or part of a sibling group.
